Ron Young is the founder of Knowledge Associates, an international knowledge and innovation management consulting and solutions company based at St Johns Innovation Centre, Cambridge U.K.

Workshop I – Knowledge Asset Management

On 20 December 2021, the UK Department for Business, Energy, and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) published ‘The Rose Book’ which provides guidance on the effective management of public sector knowledge and innovation assets. The Rose Book is an updated version of the ‘Draft guidance on knowledge assets in government’ that was published in April 2021. This workshop will provide for both public and private sector organisations an introduction to knowledge asset management as follows:

  1. ISO 30401(2018) and ISO 55001(2014) principles and international standards for knowledge and asset management.
  2. The Rose Book: guidance on knowledge asset management in government
  3. Introduction to knowledge assets
  4. Identifying critical knowledge assets
  5. Knowledge asset ledgers, registers and portfolio’s
  6. Getting started with knowledge asset management
  7. References and further guidance

The workshop is limited in numbers of participants, to ensure interactive knowledge and experience sharing, question and answer sessions
